I was priviledged to illustrate the Tree of Life version of the Bible from 2006-2016. These prints are selected from that set of 100 drawings.
The Word became Flesh
John 1:14 says that the "Word" or Word of God became a human being -- a Jew. The Old Testament or "Tenakh" was the only Word of God at the time. It was that which became a man. The scrolls with prophesies in Hebrew become skin, muscle and bone.
The Last Seder
Yeshua's last meal was a "Passover Seder". It has never been shown within a Jewish Israeli setting until now. This step of the Seder is called "yachatz", which means: "the smashing". Yeshua smashed the unleavened bread with the words: "this is My body..." as a Picture of His own sacrificial death.
Grafted In
This piece is a "photogravure"; an etching into the heavy paper. Romans 11 describes the Gentiles who believe in Yeshua as being "grafted in against nature" to a Jewish olive tree. This beautiful & intense piece illustrates the right relationship of both Jews and Gentiles to the root of Israel.
Proverbs 31 woman
This is not a print on heavy paper, but is a more like a poster; a "photoprint" on glossy paper. This beautiful piece illustrates the the woman of Proverbs 31 engaged in her tasks--seen by the sages as the Holy Spirit.
